Rosie O’Donnell’s son Blake has officially tied the knot!
Blake O’Donnell and his fiancée Teresa Garofalow Westervelt got married on Aug. 16, 2024 and the comedian, along with the happy couple, shared glimpses of the wedding on social media.
Rosie O’Donnell posted several sweet moments from the reception on Instagram, including a snap of her son and daughter-in-law enjoying their first dance as a married couple.
The “A League of Their Own” star also gave fans a first look at the mother-son dance at the wedding, revealing on Instagram they danced to Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” in the caption.
“if ur lost u can look and u will find me — time after time,” she wrote in the caption alongside a sweet photo of her and her son on the dance floor.
Rosie O’Donnell shared another photo of her dancing with her son during their dedicated dance at the reception, adding in the caption, “so much love.”
The comedian went on to reveal more details about her son’s nuptials, including sharing a snap of the “memory table” at the reception which included an homage to her late mother, Roseann, who died when she was 10.
The mom of five also revealed another family aspect of the wedding, noting on Instagram that her daughter Vivienne served as her older brother’s best man in a photo among the other groomsmen.
Rosie O’Donnell shares Parker, Chelsea, Blake, and Vivienne with her ex-wife, Kelli Carpenter, and daughter Dakota with her ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, who died by suicide in 2017, according to People.
Blake O’Donnell and his now wife, Garofalow Westervelt, reflected on their special evening in a joint Instagram post, calling it “a day filled with so much love” alongside a carousel of photos from their wedding.
“We are overwhelmed with all of the love and joy that surrounded us on our wedding day, and our hearts are so full seeing how much fun everyone had!!” the caption continued. “We could’ve have asked for a more magical day, and are blessed to have so many people who love us.”
The couple’s nuptials comes nearly two years after Blake O’Donnell proposed to his then girlfriend after more than six years of dating.
He proposed to Garofalow Westervelt in on Dec. 18, 2022 during a performance of “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway, with his mom present to witness the moment.
Rosie O’Donnell shared a snap of the moment on her Instagram, including a photo of her son down on one knee, as well as a snap posing with Hillary Clinton.
In the caption, she wrote in part, “last night — my son blake asked his gf teresa to marry him — and she said yes !!!”
“the crowd clapped — and hillary clinton was there too- i cried all through phantom of the opera — wishing my mom was here to see it all,” she added.
Blake O’Donnell shared several snaps on his own Instagram, including a selfie of the couple as Garofalow Westervelt showed off her new ring.
“I liked it so I (finally) put a ring on it,” Blake O’Donnell captioned the photo. “I can’t wait to start the next chapter in our lives together, and I’m so grateful to be doing it with my ride or die.”
