Morgan’s beautiful wedding ceremony was held at Clint’s ranch, where Christina used to live. The ranch, built in the early 1850s, was almost falling apart when Clint purchased it.

Clint’s connection to the ranch dates back to when he was 21 and a recruit at Fort Ord. Looking for a quick, cheap meal and a soda, he discovered the ranch. It used to be a modest restaurant and hotel, previously a dairy farm and the Fort Ord officers’ club.

He immediately fell in love with the place. “The first time I saw the place, I thought it was terrific. Visually, it was something else, and I thought it was the place I’d like to call home. So I kind of adopted Carmel,” Clint recalled.
After finding success in Hollywood, Clint returned, bought the ranch, and undertook extensive renovations. He turned it into a home and a haven for those looking to escape their busy lives.

The ranch holds a special place in Clint’s heart because it’s where he directed his first movie. In the 1980s, when the property was about to be torn down for a condominium development, Clint swooped in and saved it by spending $5 million.
“I had always loved the place, and they were just going to flatten it. They said it was obsolete. I thought it should be preserved as what it was,” he shared.

The ranch features tended flowers, cypress, and eucalyptus trees. The restaurant is lively and bustling, with an active bar. A night in one of the guest houses offers stunning views of the Carmel River and a sandy beach.

The ranch also features lush wetlands, a beautiful sea view, and the rocky Monterey coastline, with assorted farm animals, including goats, sheep, and horses.
Although Clint Eastwood no longer has Christina to share the ranch with, he still has his family, especially Morgan. Despite the sorrow, Morgan’s words and cherished wedding memories highlight Christina’s lasting impact. The love and support from friends and fans further testify to her enduring influence.
